On interprète par "Dieu me punit"
Everyone of us will experience disapointment, sadness, grief... But God is faithfull and God will not disapoint me.
What does it mean ? God is faithfull to his promise, and he never promised we wouldn't experience grief and suffering. He didn't promise we wouldn't suffer in this world (it's rather the opposit).
But he promised that he would be there in the midst of all this
What does is to ? It highlights what we really want. Especially if we were driven to God just because we believed we would have peace. That is prefering the gift to the giver.
Jesus said : I give you peace, but not in the way of the world. He alse said : Pick up your cross. He said : In this world, you will have troubles.
You might be disappointed in life. But please : don't be disappointed in God. Don't let it take your trust, your faith, especially in this word of Jesus "In the midst of the fire, I'll be there".
The question is : Is that enough for me ?
Start with awfull story of accidental death of a newborn. Many of you have been through things like this, or worse.
Sometimes we hear that answer : "It's all part of God's plan, even if we don't understand it." That - is - not - true !
God is involved in everything, but he does not control everything (and he is concerned by everything).
Started when he created us free. And sometimes we think "Take back my freedom, or part of it, and give me back what I lost !" "Turn off the laws of physics !"
God did not make death, and doesn't want it. God doesn't want evil to happen. But he wants a world where he is not a tyran.
And : God is going to bring an even greater good (this way). Do I believe this ? Which actually means : do I believe God to be good ? Even through this disaster, this death...
